I started tracking how many books I read a year in 2009, setting a goal for myself of 25 books a year.
In 2017, my goal was to read 35 books. Specifically, I wanted to read books exclusively by authors of color, and not really change the types of books I normally read. I generally read pretty heavily leaning towards sci-fi and fantasy, some youth lit, and a few more business/auto-biography/non-fiction books. I managed this with some success, taking a break for a few books I wanted to read before movies come out by white authors.

In 2018, I’m trying a goal with less of a social bent… I’m going to try not to buy any new books. I’m starting with the 60+ books I’ve already purchased on Audible (I know, I know). I need to put my Audible subscription on pause but I think I need to use those two credits sitting in my account before I can do that (without losing them). Want to follow along with my reading? You can see it here.
